“Magick” Michael Albany has spent most of his life living in Southeastern Pennsylvania just outside Philadelphia. He is an avid hockey fan, both NHL and AHL. Michael has developed a rather large following of Philadelphia Phantoms fans due to his extensive hockey galleries.

Michael is happiest when a camera is in hands. There is nowhere that is safe to hide from his lens. He has been accused of even taking his camera to the restroom. His reply is, “only when I want to photograph water!” Due to his dedication to his art, this winning photographer finds the unusual usual… always looking to find that unique shot to capture a moment in time.

Michael has been shooting since the late seventies when he got his first SLR camera, a Pentax K1000. He took a brief hiatus from photography only to return with vigor when digital photography was in its earliest stages. An avid believer in Nikon equipment, he feels that the camera is but a tool and the art of photography lives in the soul of the shooter -- no matter what tool is used to capture the image.

This artistic approach allows Michael to see things differently than the average person. In every moment there is an element of history whether it be personal, historical, or simply, 'Magickal.' Capturing these Magick moments is what he does best. Transferring the simplest moment into a special lifetime memory is what photography is all about… to evoke a feeling.
